Individual tickets are available for all of our concerts but our subscription rate provides great savings as well as helping to assure the ongoing financial stability of our society. All FCMS concerts are held at St. Peter the Fisherman Church, Jackson Street in downtown Fairmont, WV at 3:00 PM on Sundays.
St. Peter may be entered with low physical effort through the side entrance and an elevator has been installed next to the Jackson Street entrance.

Tickets are available at the door. St. Peters is a large church with beautiful acoustics and stained glass windows. We'll see you there.
These programs are provided with financial assistance from the WV Department of Arts, Culture and History along with the National Endowment for the Arts with approval from the WV Commission on the Arts.

First: Ronn McFarlane & Carolyn Surrick


Our new season opens with the return of the renowned lutenist Ronn McFarlane, this time appearing with famed viola da gamba virtuoso Carolyn Surrick. Ronn is a Grammy nominated performer and composer who is recognized across the globe as a master of his instrument and we are thrilled to have him back with us. Carolyn is a pioneer in the fusion of Renaissance and Baroque music with Celtic folk traditions. She is the founder of Ensemble Galilei, a Celtic/early music crossover group which has a catalog of more than 15 recordings.

Second: Ensemble Schumann


Ensemble Schumann is an oboe, viola, piano trio featuring oboist Tom Gallant who appeared June 2019 with the Tesla String Quartet in Clarksburg for our outreach concert. Tom, an award winning artist, is one of the world's few virtuoso solo and chamber music performers on the oboe. The trio also includes Steve Larson, viola and Sally Pinkas, piano.

Third: Corina Marti


To open the second half of our season we welcome from Europe the celebrated harpsichordist Corina Marti. Corina is recognized internationally for her strikingly superior interpretations and infallible performances. As a soloist, chamber musician and teacher she travels regularly across Europe, North and South America, the Middle and Far East. She teaches the next generation of early music performers at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Basel, Switzerland and we are excited to have her as our first ever harpsichord soloist.

Fourth: Trio Confero


To close our 40th season we are pleased to present Trio Confero, three exceptionally talented musicians, clarinetist Maksim Shtrykov, cellist Anita Balazs and pianist Misuzu Tanaka -prize- winners of many international competitions and graduates of world's most prestigious music academies - The Juilliard School and Yale School of Music. Founded in 2018, the trio presents the rarely performed repertoire for clarinet, cello and piano, arguably one of the truly beautiful chamber music combinations.

Fairmont Chamber Music Society, Inc. is recognized as a publicly supported organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code. As such, donors who contribute to the Foundation may deduct their contributions as provided in Section 170 of the Internal Revenue Service Code. Bequests, legacies, devises, transfers or gifts to the FCMS Inc. or for its use are deductible for Federal estate and gift tax purposes if they meet the applicable provisions of sections 2055, 2106 and 2522 of the Code. In "English", this means that a donor may contribute to the FCMS, Inc. and take a tax deduction for that donation on their Federal Income Tax return.
