Tankless hot water heaters require a new way of adjusting shower and sink temperature. You turn on the hot water all the way to activate the heater, wait a moment and then LOWER the flow of hot water to make it HOTTER. If it is too hot when opened full blast THEN you add the cold water to get it down to the temperature you want.
